Parking:
Parking around campus can be very challenging and expensive so we strongly advice anyone who can, including those staying at nearby hotels, to use public transportation.
For Friday and Saturday:
There is metered parking on the main streets, but they allow a max of two hours parked, and often there are not many available. The following are other parking options around campus:
Name | Address | Rate | distance on foot | |
---|---|---|---|---|
First Street Garage | First street | weekday: 20; weekend: 5 | ~20 min | |
Green Street Garage | 260 Green Street | weekday: 22; weekend: 12 | ~15 min | |
55 Franklin Street | 55 Franklin Street | 35/day | ~10 min | |
MIT Visitor Parking | 139 Massachusetts Ave | 32/day | on campus | |
Kendall Center Yellow | 75 Ames Street | 40/day | <5 min | |
Kendall Center Green | 90 broadway | 42/day | <5 min |
For Sunday: no meter is required to park on the street, so we advice street parking around campus.
